Membership
In order to best serve our members and maintain a positive studio environment, prospective students are asked to submit an application for membership. Please email us with your name, clay experience level, method of working, and why you'd like to join our community. Members must be able to work independently and have strong knowledge of the limitations and possibilities that the ceramic arts offer. If you are unsure of your skills, please reach out to us and let's talk about it! We're here to encourage you and provide inspiration.
We have several membership levels depending on the amount of space you desire. Memberships start at $250/month and go up from there. This includes use of our studio, workspaces, and shared or private storage for your work. We have 3 electric kilns and fire to cone 6 or below. Other equipment includes 6 pottery wheels, 2 slab rollers, a glass kiln, tools of all kinds, and fun molds and templates. Students share very nominal kiln firing expenses. You have options to fire your own kilns or go in with a group. Clay is available for purchase from us, or you may bring in your own, pre-approved clay. We have a good selection of studio glazes that are available for testing and trying, but members are encouraged to build their own glaze collection.
Other perks include free parking, keyless entry, a small kitchen area for a lunch or snacks, and beautiful outdoor spaces for taking breaks or working outside. We allow well trained, sweet dogs in the studio, but they must pass a meet and greet first and not disrupt other artists or their pets. Please see our Studio Policies for more information. You will receive more information on the specifics of membership once your application is approved. Feel free to come by and take a tour with us!
