In this class, students will use the coiling method of hand-building in clay.
Using coil building and pinching, students will work expressively as they explore mark making ,texture, and a reactive approach to creativity. We will work loosely and have fun with the process!
There will be an option to work realistically or more abstracted.
Students are encouraged to sketch ideas prior to class in order to talk with the instructor about possible solutions for a successful project.
Our finished work will result in sculptural heads approximately 12-14” in height. All work will be created and glazed in class. Please allow four weeks for work to be dried and fired. We can ship if necessary.

All materials and firing expenses are included. Please bring an apron, sketches/ideas, and any favorite texture tools.
